The fourth-generation Kia Sorento, introduced in 2020, has been a reliable contender in the three-row SUV segment. However, Kia is preparing for a significant update in the 2024 Sorento, with a particular focus on its front-end design. While detailed specifications are yet to be disclosed, it’s evident that the 2024 Sorento will undergo a major facelift.

Anticipated changes include the continued availability of gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models, likely retaining powertrains from the 2023 Sorento, along with front-wheel and all-wheel drive options. Notably, the exterior design is receiving a substantial transformation, featuring revamped front fascia and redesigned taillights, inspired by the sleek aesthetics of the all-electric EV9.

Inside, the 2024 Sorento promises an inviting atmosphere with an attractive layout, premium materials, and upgraded infotainment. Expect larger digital gauge clusters, enhanced tech features, and an emphasis on practicality with multiple storage compartments and cupholders. The option for third-row seating and captain’s chairs for the second row may enhance passenger comfort.

Technological upgrades will likely include larger and more modern touch screens, a wireless charging pad, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Powertrain options are expected to remain similar to the current model, offering versatility with various engine choices and both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. Towing capabilities, while not matching larger SUVs, should remain suitable for various needs.

Fuel efficiency is projected to stay consistent with current models, including impressive figures for the Sorento hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. Safety features will continue to be a strong suit, with a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies.

Kia’s industry-leading warranty coverage provides additional peace of mind, with long-term protection for Sorento owners.
